Main St. wildlife

The street that our office is on is one of those streets that Urban Renewal destroyed. I have no doubt that 40 years ago, this was the place to be. The street is rich in archetecture, and certainly has no lack of history. Sometime in the past it was decided to close off 4 blocks of this street and turn it into a pedestrian mall. There are many successful pedestrian malls throughout the United States ( Burlington, VT. has an excellent street mall). This wasn't one of them. The area turned into an open air crackden and a place for every misfit to hang out. The homeless also congregated here for the obvious reasons. A few years ago they decided to open the road to traffic. Now it is an open air crackden with traffic. Maybe they should close the street to traffic again and charge admission to the "worlds largest circus." I mean really- I saw a guy wearing a pimp crown on Friday. To quote a 90's song- " I challenge you to a game of horseshoes- A GAME OF HORSESHOES!"
