What Christmas is to Me!

Instead of "Decking the Halls" it is "Stuffing the Malls."
It is buying a gift that will be played with for a day,
and then being stuck with a credit card to pay.
There will be socks,shirts and ties to buy, at dinnertime someone must have baked a pie.
Then there will be dishes to go along with Christmas wishes and by the time the day is done, when everyone has had their fun, the toys will be put away on a shelf and I will be home by myself, my thoughts will drift back toward my kids, and I'll wonder "what if their parents did?"
Maybe I'll enter a fitful sleep, maybe I won't, it doesn't matter to me. What is important is that my children see how very important they are to me! I love you guys, it makes no difference what Daddy buys, you're both the best in your Daddy's eyes!

I agree about Christmas, I hate Chrismas in its current 2004 form. When you boil away all the bullshit however, it is still all about the kids.
