This is not a rant, but rather an observation. They cancelled schools this morning because of the weather. It is supposed to snow/sleet/freezing rain for most of the day. There was light snow this morning, which tapered off around 11AM. Now it isn’t doing anything, it isn’t icy. There is a Winter Storm Warning for tonight and tomorrow and there is supposed to be some significant snow tonight. Schools will be closed tomorrow for sure.
Why do they do this on a day like today? The forecast was correct, why not have school today, all day, give the kids work to do for tomorrow in anticipation of a snow day, then cancel school tomorrow when it actually snows out. Nah! That’s too smart because we all know that the people who make these decision at our schools all had a 2.0 GPA in college and a degree from Wednesday Night’s at (INSERT NAME OF BAR/TAVERN/BREWERY HERE).
