Synthetic Bullcrap

I was doing a little bit of research this morning about Volkswagen of America. I was doing this because of issues associated with changing the oil on a vehicle. Seems that at certain places and at certain dealers, they call for synthetic oil, while at other dealers you can put Wesson oil in it.

There isn’t a thing in the owners manual about it. Funny. So I went on a website called www.vwsucks.com and got the same conflicting reports. Personally I believe it is all B.S.
I’ve never had any issues regarding the oil in any car. It seems weird, but the more I research weirdness with Volkswagen, the more I find. I think I should stop looking since I happen to like my car.

It's that little prick over there Scott. I don't like that guy. I'm taking mine to Fishkill next time I need to.

How much is the price differance?
why no tmail VW and ask them?
or call up your dealer
It sounds like BS, I am no expert but as far as I know you can get a jetta with the same plant option including the turbo, and i have never heard of them calling for synthetic in a Jetta.
OR buy a Ford like mine and put handfulls of top soil in the thing.

The only thing that I can think of is that the engine gets really hot and burns up the oil with the turbo and all. It says that on one of the sites, so that could be sort of true, but then if so, why dont demand synthetic oil in the manual?
